Chemical and Oil Spill Training

1.5 Hour Course

This course is designed for personnel responsible for managing and dealing with hazardous materials including oil.

The aim of the course is to give course members an appreciation of the need for strict control procedures needed to enable them to deal with different types of spill accidents. The main objectives of the spill training are for course members to:

	Understand the steps in dealing with a spillage.
	Be able to select the correct spill control media and equipment.
	Know the procedure for summoning assistance.

Course Content:

	Handling Hazardous Spills
	Developing a emergency plan
	The 10 steps to spill response
	Identification of spillage control points around the work place
	Using the correct spillage control and containment products
	Legislation awareness

The Spill Course is a 1.5 Hour course carried out in your workplace to reduce downtime. All course material and handouts are provided for a maximum of 12 candidates.
